Poem About Love That Is Broken

Into our life love has come suddenly
It is not contrived but rather heartfelt
Twas pure destiny that brought us together
Destiny has undoubtedly favored us
With genuine love, friendship; forgiveness
These gifts are to be treasured, not assumed
For life plants loving seeds within our hearts
Our journey together will be life long
For this love is precious and forgiving
Not ever to be taken for granted

I hate to see your broken heart
To see it just fall all apart
And knowing sometimes it is wrong
He was where did not belong

Destiny’s a funny thing
Never knowing what it will bring
When lovers come untuned
It’s like two flowers almost bloomed

We had to see the flowers on stem
Falling apart – the waste of them
What could make us rise in smile

We know our love will bloom
 when other had to die last night
For some let it fall through their fingers
Then it’s only memories that will linger

Times when regret will send such pain
You walk with tears out in the rain
You hide within your room alone

Yet gone is gone and done is done
No matter how you loved someone
When it’s over – already doomed
Like two flowers almost bloomed
A glance is all it took to know that
we were drawn to each other
As no one has been drawn to me before.
Your emotions. Your eyes seeing through me.
Opening me up to a new life.
A place filled with emotions that
I have not ever felt before.

Not a dream but a reality so strong
That to be there feels surreal.
A joining of our spirits . A blending
of our hearts that beat as one.
A union that goes beyond the physical realm.
To feel such a strong attraction
is not usual between two people that just met
for the first time. Destiny draws
like souls together thus fulfilling
what is to be. Not for one night
but for an eternity.
A longing that will last
throughout time.

We have a date today
with destiny; but
sometimes it takes
us our whole life to
find what we were
meant to find today.

Hearts love and
hearts hate, but
one and all is
searching for our date today!
